Time for a reboot!
When I find I need a reboot from the winter grind and it’s too cold to paint outside I work on watercolors. I looove the steel stacks located in Bethlehem pa and can’t get enough of their alien like structures. Sure, I know I’m not the first to find the looming silhouettes appealing but I have always been attracted to industrial structures. The rusty oranges transition to green and bleed around joints and bolts. Layers of lacy wires, bending ladders and crisscrossing broad slabs of metal look skeletal. A once working machine now abandoned and left to nature creates a back drop for the super cool Steel Stacks dedicated to music arts and culture.
